    YERUN Position Statement on Plan S

    YERUN welcomes the launch of Plan S, by cOALition S, a group of 13 national research funders and the European Commission (ERC)for the realisation of full and immediate OA. YERUN members discussed the principles during their General Assembly held at Brunel University London, 5 September 2018, and decided to give it its support while presenting some considerations.

    YERUN Guidelines on Joint Programmes (Bachelor & Master)

    Based on the experience gathered developing Joint Programmes in the last years, YERUN has compiled the information, methodology and necessary steps to make the process of developing a Joint Programme a success.     YERUN Position Paper on the H2020 mid-term review

    Horizon 2020 has a clear role in promoting international, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary collaboration. It is fundamental to perform innovative and high quality science, and it enables innovative research of the highest quality to be carried out by encouraging inclusion and collaboration. YERUN members acknowledge that researchers are supported to establish, widen their networks, share resources (both intellectual and physical – infrastructures), develop their international careers, and connect research and other stakeholders in the pursuit of knowledge and innovation.

    YERUN is pleased to share its position on the mid-term evaluation of Horizon 2020. YERUN supports the two most important criteria of Horizon 2020 being excellence and impact, and emphasises the importance of fundamental research and thematic openness. Our members actively participate in the framework programme and their experiences can enrich the design of the future programs to come.

    YERUN Statement on Brexit

    The British Prime Minister, Theresa May, has invoked article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty which starts the legal process of leaving the European Union. The United Kingdom gives notice to quit the European Union as decided in the referendum of June 23rd 2016.

    This is the starting point of a process in which the European Union will attempt to negotiate and conclude an agreement with the United Kingdom, setting out the arrangements for the withdrawal and taking account of the framework for the future relationship between the European Union and the United Kingdom.
