YERUN welcomes the opportunity to give feedback on the cOAlition S Guidance on the Implementation of Plan S, which follows our previous position statement published in October 2018.
After the launch of Plan S by cOAlition S on September 4th 2018, numerous position papers (including from YERUN) have been published to support, comment or recommend how it should evolve and how should be implemented. YERUN welcomes the launch of Plan S, by cOALition S, a group of 13 national research funders and the European Commission (ERC)for the realisation of full and immediate OA. YERUN members discussed the principles during their General Assembly held at Brunel University London, 5 September 2018, and decided to give it its support while presenting some considerations.
You still have time to participate in the Public Consultation of EOSC (European Open Science Cloud) - Deadline 5 August!! The aim of the European Commission's stakeholder consultation on the European Open Science Cloud Rules of Participation is to help come up with guidelines on how the EOSC actors (which include both users and service providers) can participate in the EOSC.
The Young European Research Universities Network (YERUN) is committed to actively support the transition towards Open Science. The YERUN members agree that this transition requires not only investments in infrastructures and skills-building, but also a cultural shift in the way research is performed and rewarded.
